Life Update!

Hello!

We can all see how consistent I am in blogging eheh. I really fell out of blogging and I miss it so much. So after much contemplation I'm back (for good hopefully). Going to go for a quick run through of 2016 so far.

January
I spent my new years in South Korea with my mother this year. This trip was booked a year in advance so I waited so long for it. It was an amazing trip nonetheless and I also signed up for a course in Hongik University to study Korean for three months!
After finalising my enrolment, I booked my flight tickets again and got a job! For 1 and half months I was working in Nature Republic and I had a blast. I learned a lot more about their products and I can recommend stuff from there now hahaha. I made some really good friends too.

February
For the entire month I was working in Nature Republic, I have to admit it was a pretty tiring job although it wasn't physically straining. Celebrated Chinese New Year with the fam bam and on 15th February someone came into my life (: Will tell that story another day.

March, April, May, June
I prepared for my trip in March and was in Korea for 90 days. It was a crazy fun experience and I would really love to it again. Met some really nice people from all around the world.
Some girls from Taiwan.
Cat bus

Two of my closes Japanese friend I met in my course.
Really pretty Cherry blossoms in Spring.

July
I also went to SG for a week to celebrate my nephew's 4th birthday. Nothing really memorable, was trying really hard to apply to get into the University of Nottingham (UON).

August
It's my birthday month! Since it was my 21st birthday, my sister in law threw a big party for me and it was really an awesome celebration.

My Japanese friend came down Malaysia for a short holiday too. I had a good time showing her around.
Eri & Eri heehehe

September
I was pretty much rushing to settle my University and accommodations this month. Managed to get everything done despite facing a some difficulties. I applied for Year 2 but sadly I wasn't accepted and went to Year 1 which I don't regret at all. The end of September was my first week of Uni and I can already feel the pressure coming. I really hope I can do well for this course.

October
I finally moved into my new accommodation and I'm missing my room dearly. The bright side is I have plenty of space now!

That's all for now till next time! I promise I'll be back!

The month of June

So I have reached a point where I feel that I can change my life if I try. I now have a new plan this year and I hope and will work for it to succeed.

  • Stick to my schedule, don't push things to the last minute and get the task done as soon as possible.
  • Study consistently and not stress out when exams come.
  • Love my job and do a good one.
  • Take the TOPIK 1 Korean test.
  • Loose and seriously try to accomplish this at least 5kg by the end of this year.
  • Save money for my Korea trip.

Most of the things stated above is doable so I hope I don't go off track. During my first year of college till now my weight has been on a constant increase. I can't even look in a mirror without feeling guilty. This is probably the main reason I stopped blogging, I feel like my face has really become much rounder than before. My self esteem has really been in the pits this year and well most (not all!) asian family are pretty negative. My family always say to me "Girl, if you loose weight you would be sooo much prettier." When I choose clothes my mom will say "you slim down only will look nice!" or when I say I don't have a boyfriend " you loose weight sure got boy go after you one!". So it has always been at the back of my mind that fat = loser I guess I just pushed it further down into my mind thinking I'll always be this way and I might as well eat what I like. They do have a point and I really love my family, I just wish they aren't so negative. My goal now is to be healthy, reach my normal BMI and feel confident about myself. My diet should also be healthy so that hopefully I can achieve my dream skin.

On a lighter note, I picked up a new hobby! Which is Korean! I have a bad habit where I get into a hobby and get all the stuff for it and eventually toss it aside *coughguitarcough*. I have also stopped buying loads of KPOP merch and CD's I have not fallen out of it yet I've just slowed down.

        Okay I'll stop rambling on now. I shall stop here and I'll try to update this space as often as I can. (;

Gyaru style: My favourite gyaru models.

Hello!

So today my fellow course mates and I were discussing about a person and they were saying she looks like she was cosplaying on a daily basis. I for one was familiar with that style which was Gyaru style, for those of you who don't know what is Gyaru it is basically is a gal style and is commonly seen with circle lenses, thick false eyelashes and very nicely set hair.

After that discussion it brought me back to my high school years, when I was form 2 I started to really get into the gyaru scene and at that time the only name I knew was Tsubasa Masuwaka.
Image from google.

Over the years her look toned down a little and I think she looks ultra gorgeous now. She was great before but now ~Swoon~

She has her own make up line called 'Dolly Wink' the products are great I love her eyeliner and lashes!

The second model I liked was Kumiko Funayama,
Image from google.
Gahhh she is also perfection! She was the cover model of Popteen magazine after Tsubasa who was also a popteen model. Actually all the gyaru models I like are from Popteen. I just love their models concept/styles.

Third model I loved, I think she is my favourite out of the lot is~~~~ Izuoka Misaki!

Image from google. She is the one with short hair.
Just something about her struck a cord in me hahahahaha. She is seriously great ahhh.
From her facebook page.
One of her more recent photos, she still looks as gorgeous as ever!

And that brings me to the last model I liked before I kind off stop checking out the gyaru scene is Shiina Hikari! I can't believe she's a year older than me!
Image from google.
With her signature hairstyle. I think she was the only model that I kind off wanted to be like but looks like I failed hahahah!

Currently I still enjoy looking at these styles but probably won't follow it anymore because I know my face can't suit it. Ahh my youth~

Review: {Tony Moly} AC Control Toner

Hello!

I'm going to talk about one of the products that I'm using, the first time I ever tried this was from a sample I got when someone visited a tony moly store and gave it to me to try. I like it so much that I went ahead and purchased the full sized product, after I used it and finish my first bottle finish I went ahead and got another one whilst I was in Korea. I use this daily in my skin care regime and have been loving it so far!

Let's look at the product,

This is how the packaging looks like. The box is quite shiny and it's a really simple design.

At the back of the product it has the information, direction and cautions.

One of the side of the box, it's in korean so I can't really translate.

The other side of the box with the ingredients list.

Close up of the ingredients because I'm too lazy to type it all out hehehe.

Top of the box has the brand name and the product name in hangeul.

The bottle like the box is a clean blue colour and you can easily see how much product is left.

The back of the bottle once again has the name in hangeul and how much product it is and the products lifespan after opening.

It comes with a pump dispenser which I love because it's super convenient!

This is the old bottle design of the product. I recently just finished it. I also realized that the old packaging had less content than the new packaging!

It still has the same pump dispenser just that the old one is blue and the new one is white.

I usually pump it 3-4 times onto the cotton pad when I apply at night to remove all the excess makeup/dirt from my skin. In the morning I pump it straight to my hands.

This is the cotton after I used it on my face. On this particular day I didn't use any makeup but when I do I can still see the cotton has a tiny bit of brown colour so I know it really helps clear my face one more time. My skin doesn't feel tight or any discomfort whenever I use this product so I'm rather happy with it!

What Tony Moly says:
Image taken from their website~

PROS:
- Makes my skin feel fresh after using.
- Skin feels soft and not dry after using.
- Smells good! At least to me it does.
- Helps with the prevention of acne.

CONS:
- I don't really have complaints for this product.

Overall Rating:
5/5, it does make my skin feel hydrated and fresh like it claims so thumbs up from me!

Repurchase?:
Already repurchased once and might repurchase again, but after this bottle I feel like trying the laniege toner.

So overall I do like it and would recommend people who have a mild acne problem to try it out but then again what works for me might not work for you so maybe you could try a sample before buying the full product like I did!

Another plus point is B1A4 started endorsing Tony Moly so that makes me want to check out Tony Moly even more hehehehe.

It's already mid January?!

Hey everyone!

Oh gosh time really flies doesn't it. I just wanted to stop by and make a promise with myself and you all to at least blog a little more.

I recently look back at my post and realised I should blog more so that I don't forget about special events or even products that I loved hahahaha.

Like every new year people will do a resolution post right? So here's mine!

1) Blog at least 4 times a month.

2) Lose 5 kg. Not aiming big because we all know how that goes.

3) Stick to my skin care regime and don't be lazy with my skin!

4) Put more effort into dressing up and looking good.

5) Save money for the things on my wishlist which I will blog about soon... hopefully.

6) Travel more! I recently came back from Korea and I'm already itching to go back!

7) Study hard to get into my colleges Dean's List!

8) Procrastinate less so that I don't stress about assignments at the last minute. Heh.

9) Keep track of my spending and not buy useless stuff.

10) Try... just try to eat a little more healthier.

So that's all for now. See you all soon (:
